SPA Biennial Exhibition 2026
SPA 2026 Biennial Exhibition Club – Acceptances and Scores
Congratulations to those with acceptances for the exhibition and to Balwant Thanki and Martin Faiers for their Highly Commended and Commended awards.
Thanks to all our members who took the time and trouble to enter their work for the SPA 2026 Biennial Exhibition. Also, thanks to Ann and Dave for all their efforts organising and delivering the prints.
Email received from SPA Moderator and Chair, SPA Competitions Sub-Committee (redacted):
"The selection for the Exhibition was of a high standard and, as a result, the Selectors were asked to reevaluate the print categories.
he acceptance level for all categories was 12. In both Nature and Monochrome Print, we had a high number of images scoring 12 or more so the selectors were asked to re-evaluate all the 12-scoring prints, with the purpose of agreeing the final images that should be 'accepted' into the exhibition.
In the Colour Print category, although the acceptance level was 12, selectors were required to re-evaluate the 11-score band with the purpose of agreeing additional images that should be 'accepted' into the exhibition, but the original score on the back of the prints will remain the same.
With the PDI categories, all images scoring 12 or more will be in the slide presentation at the exhibition, although since we now have an additional PDI category, the PDI slideshow will also be split into two halves, as with the prints.
Along with these acceptances, all images scoring a mark of 5 from any one judge were accepted into the Exhibition.
A list of when members’ images are being displayed will be sent to each club liaison officer in due course.
1st Hanging display is from midday Friday 10th April 2026 – Tuesday 21st April 2026
2nd Hanging display is from midday Wednesday 22nd April 2026 – Saturday 2nd May 2026"
